Alison Finch studied Chemistry at Reading University, before beginning her corporate career as a graduate trainee for Mars, the privately-owned American Corporation. Over the next decade, her roles there varied from Production Manager, in the largest canning factory in Europe, to Sales, Marketing and Logistics. In 2000, Alison relocated to Melbourne, Australia, as Head of Integration for a large Dairy Co-operative and furthered her expertise in Human Resources & Value Chain Management. In 2010, Alison set up her own Solar Installation business in Cardiff, UK and, as such, gained first-hand experience of the solar industry, before joining Huawei in March 2014 to establish Huawei Solar in the UK. Two years on, Huawei succeeded in grabbing the largest share of UK ground-mount solar inverter market. Alison has now taken on the challenging role of Chief Marketing Officer, Huawei Solar Europe, as well as being a Board Director at Solar Power Europe. |

Miriam van Ee started her career with NautaDutilh in May 1998 and joined Eversheds Sutherland in 2008 as a partner in the corporate and M&A practice with a focus on the energy sector. Miriam is specialised in M&A, financing, restructuring, securities, corporate, contract and energy law. She has broad experience and in depth knowledge of domestic and cross border mergers & acquisitions, de-mergers, joint ventures, shareholders agreements, insolvencies, (acquisition) structuring, restructuring, commercial (energy) agreements and (project/acquisition) financing. In addition to the aforementioned transaction expertise, Miriam is specialised in the structuring of energy projects through the planning and construction phase, commissioning, operation and maintenance with respect to a variety of technologies such as wind, solar, biomass and heat projects. She has also in depth experience in local energy production and integration of energy solution in buildings. Miriam is admitted to practice law in the Netherlands. She holds degrees from Utrecht University in notarial law and civil law (cum laude) and spent two years (2002 and 2003) working in the Corporate and Finance practice in London. |

Werner Coppye is a co-founder and the Chief Technological Officer of 3E, responsible for the definition and the implementation of the technology roadmap of the company’s business units. Since 1999, Werner has been actively involved in the company’s business development in energy systems for the built environment, solar and wind energy technical advisory work and product development of the SynaptiQ software platform for renewable energy asset management. Before creating 3E as an IMEC spin-off in 1999, Werner was the R&D manager at Philips Hearing Implants, responsible for the development of the terminal equipment for the fitting of cochlear implants. He previously was a project manager at IMEC in Leuven, first active in the optimisation of high yield crystalline silicon solar cells and later in the study of photovoltaic solar energy systems. Werner is co-author of several publications in international publications and is also regularly invited as guest lecturer on sustainable energy concepts. He graduated as an electro-technical engineer in micro-electronics from the “KU Leuven” (Catholic University of Leuven Belgium) in 1992. |

Dennis Gieselaar (1974) works for Pallieter RENEFF, a Dutch family owned private equity firm investing in companies in the field of solar-pv and LED technology. On behalf of Pallieter Mr Gieselaar is the delegated Managing Director of 4BLUE, one of Holland’s fastest growing solar distributors. Mr Dennis Gieselaar has over 25 years of experience within the photovoltaic industry. After graduating in Environmental Science and Total Quality Management in 1997 he joined Ekomation Solar Energy Consultancy, the predecessor of Solarplaza. As a consultant he worked closely together with Mr Edwin Koot, the founder and owner of Solarplaza, on supporting utilities, governments and various industries on solar photovoltaics. In 2001 Mr Gieselaar founded Oskomera Solar Power Solutions (OSPS). At OSPS he was involved in the realization of almost 0,3 GW of solar power across Europe. In 2015 Mr Gieselaar joined Pallieter RENEFF where he currently manages subsidiary companies 4BLUE B.V. and LUMINAID B.V. (manufacturing of linear LED lighting applications). |

Jon Feenstra is a solar consultant in the energy advisory group of DNV GL The Netherlands since August 2016. He is experienced in the field of sustainable/renewable energy with focus on photovoltaics and electrical systems while maintaining a broad and extensive knowledge of (applied) physics, (applied) chemistry, (chemical/electrical/mechanical) engineering, the energy sector and the societal relevance of energy. Jon obtained his PhD in physics in 2016 from Radboud University working on thin-film PV technologies. He PhD thesis is titled: “Transferred thin-film PV applications”. He obtained his master in chemical engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and his bachelor in chemistry from HAN University. In DNV, GL Jon operates as a solar PV expert and he is involved in the execution of engineering projects. Jon contributes as a technical specialist in due diligence projects, market studies, risk assessments, workshops and technical research.

Regional Manager SMA Western Europe Jan Van Laethem (1966) is ingenieur elektronica. Na zijn studies ging hij aan de slag als in de grafische sector. Hierbij lag de nadruk op zogenaamde ‘specialty applications’ zoals software voor de ontwikkeling van bankbiljetten. Zijn verantwoordelijkheden waren een variëteit aan marketing- , commerciële en activiteiten van algemeen management, ondermeer in de sector van Digital Inkjet Printing bij firma’s zoals Barco, Dotrix (later Agfa-Dotrix). In 2008 maakte Jan de overstap naar de sector van de hernieuwbare energie. Na een periode als National Sales Manager bij een zonnepanelenfabrikant begon hij in september 2009 als Managing Director SMA Benelux bij SMA Solar Technology, marktleider voor PV-omvormers. Inmiddels is hij Regional Manager Western Europe met verantwoordelijkheid voor de regio’s Benelux, UK en Frankrijk. |
